Fill your infusion kit to the top with the spirit of your choice. (Make sure to fill all the way to the rim of the jar for maximum infusion volume.)

Not sure what type of alcohol to use? Follow the suggested pairings for each kit, and see our tip on choosing the appropriate spirit quality for infusing.

Let the kit infuse or steep on your counter for several days and up to 7 days.

Most infusion kits take 3 days. You can find the recommended time on your kit’s product page or on the instruction sheet that came with your kit.

It helps the infusion do its business if you shake the jar once a day.

Strain your infusion using a fine mesh strainer.

To remove very fine particles, strain again using a coffee filter or cheesecloth.

Store in its original jar (it’s already labeled!) or a clean glass bottle in the refrigerator. Infused spirits are best enjoyed within three months, but will never go bad.
