frequently asked questions

How do I use my infusion kit?

For detailed instructions, see our instructions at the bottom of this page.

Can I create a non-alcohol infusion?

Yes! Check out the Getting Started section below for instructions on creating infused water to use in mocktails. These are included with each infusion kit as well.

What is your shipping policy?

In general, packages will be shipped out within 1-2 business days of your order. We strive to hit the early end of that as much as possible. Around the holidays we ask for a couple extra days for processing. We ship to all 50 states and DC. In High Spirits does not accept returns.

How long does my infusion last?

Our infusions will never go bad, but for the strongest flavor, we recommend infusing your kit within a year. Infused spirits can be stored in the fridge for 3 months (if they last that long).

Can I buy infusions for my shop?

Absolutely! Check out our wholesale pagewholesale page for more information.

How many drinks does each kit make?

Each kit can be infused twice to make up to 24 ounces of infused spirits, or around 16 drinks, depending on how you use your infusion.

01

Fill your infusion kit to the top with the spirit of your choice.

Fill with the spirit of your choice.
Make sure to fill all the way to the rim of the jar for maximum infusion volume.
Not sure what type of alcohol to use?
Be sure to check out our suggested pairings for each infusion. As for quality, we recommend using a brand that you typically like to drink in a mixed cocktail. However, there’s no shame in going higher end! Infusing a craft spirit may hide some of its subtleties, but we all know it’ll really only make it better.

For a non-alcoholic infusion, fill your jar with nearly boiling water.

Fill your infusion kit to the top with the spirit of your choice.

Steep on your countertop.
Most infusion kits should steep for 3 days. You can find the recommended time on your infusion's product page or on the instruction sheet that came with your kit.
It helps the infusion do its business if you shake the jar once a day.

For infused water, let cool to room temperature (about 2 hours) and let it steep for up to another 3 days.

03

Fill your infusion kit to the top with the spirit of your choice.

Strain using a fine mesh strainer.
To remove very fine particles, strain again using a coffee filter or cheesecloth.
Store in its original jar (it’s already labeled!) or a clean glass bottle in the refrigerator. Infused spirits are best enjoyed within three months, but they will never go bad.

See our cocktail recipes for ideas on how to use your infused alcohol.
